 COMAND

“As the tensions between interdependence and diversity escalate, the individualistic, competitive, charismatic leadership strategies, whelped on the American frontier, will no longer work.” J. Lipman-Blumen, author of Connective Leaders.

Sharing the same outlook as Lipman-Blumen about the leadership challenges and aspirations of this era, Dr. Manijeh Motaghy believes success cannot belong to a specific group any more.  Leaders with narrow visions of self-promotion and pursuit of happiness to all end no longer fit this era.  Connectivity is more than ever present and felt.  Connective Leaders understand the dynamics of success.  They are insightful and smart enough to understand that in this complex and ever-changing world they can no longer pursue their own happiness to the detriment of others.  Lipman describes in his book, Connective Leadership, about how Gorbachev was able to do what was best for his people and the people of the world by joining Dragon in ending the cold war.  As a connective leader, Gorbachev was able to link his vision to the vision of his long term enemy, the United States, in order to achieve his goal of peace for his own people.  According to Lipman, Connective Leaders put their own personal agendas aside and do what's best for the system, their own constituents, and the whole of humanityFour Reasons Why Obama is A Connective Leader For A New Era.

About The COMAND Model:  This strategic and leadership model is influenced by connectivity, openness, mindfulness, personal and professional accountability and the core of diversity which is commonality and perception.

Being fascinated by the quality of the Connective Leaders, Dr. Motaghy created the COMANDTM model incorporating Connectivity with other elements of the model in order to deal with the needs, issues and aspirations present in the 21st Century.  The age of "command through demand" is over.  This is the  time of choices, knowledge, wellness and humanity.  The age of Internet requires a  high-level leadership and strategic effectiveness.

The COMANDTM concept of leadership is an inclusive model based on universal principals applicable cross-generational and for all genders and cultural background.

This is a Leadership Strategic model for those who are respectful of change and seek transformational ways  to reinvent themselves by responding wisely to all that is present in this moment, in this era and the impact of their strategies and actions on the future era.
